Dehradun. There is a huge shortage of Remdesivir in the state. In such a situation, hospitals have now been instructed to use it rationally. In-charge Health Secretary Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey has clarified that this injection is not administered by every patient of Corona. They have also sought proposals for daily oxygen consumption from Kovid authorized private hospitals. He informed that the state government will be supplied with oxygen from the center. In such a hospital, the Chief Medical Officers of their district can give the above proposal.
In view of the fast growing cases of Corona, the Secretary-in-charge held a virtual meeting with all the Chief Medical Officers and Kovid Reserved Private Hospitals. He informed that the government has plans to work with the final year students of the three medical colleges of the state and the final year students of GNM, BSC Nursing and Post Basic Nursing in Kovid Hospital.
He said that a steady increase is seen in the cases. For this reason, government and private hospitals need to increase their beds and overcome the shortage of human resources. Kovid authorized hospitals may also send a proposal to increase the extra beds by marking nearby hotels.
All Kovid authorized hospitals have to update all the information on the portal in real time.
