SIT went to the Commission today and questioned the officials there and it is likely that SIT may make more arrests soon. Sonu Kumar alias Khadku, arrested on Monday, is a resident of Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh.
He has been arrested from Chutmalpur bus stand. The SIT has also recovered crucial evidence from the resort which includes CCTV recordings and electronic evidence.
On the other hand, in this case, the accused told that he is the cousin of Sanjeev Dubey, at whose behest he had supervised the candidates staying in the resort and he had also received Rs 10,000 for this work. This information has been given by SSP Ajay Singh.
SSP Ajay Singh says that an SIT was formed on the orders of the police headquarters. At present, a case has been registered by the Public Service Commission in Kankhal police station. It is in Haridwar.
He said, whoever is guilty has to be arrested and wherever the accused are inside or outside the Commission, they have to be identified and caught so that there is no harm in the upcoming examinations. Till now, a total of 8 people have been arrested in this case.
