Aligarh. UP Anti-Terrorism Squad (UPATS) has arrested two Rohingyas Mohammad Amin and Mohammad Rafiq from Makdoomnagar area of Kotwali police station area of Aligarh. He was arrested on Thursday after he was confirmed to be in India on the basis of fake documents.
The ATS team has also recovered 6 gold biscuits, Aadhar card and UNHCR card from their possession. The ATS has arrested the two on tip-off given by persons named Noor Alam and Amir Hussain, who were arrested in Ghaziabad last week.
ATS sources said the arrested persons used to help other Rohingyas to enter our country through various means. Inspector General of Police, ATS, GK Goswami, who led the operation, said that for the first time a Rohingya has been caught with six gold biscuits weighing 100 grams.
