New Delhi. Rain is becoming a major obstacle in the final match of the World Test Championship between India and New Zealand. According to the latest information, it was raining all night in Southampton and it is still raining. The BCCI has informed by tweeting that, on the first day of the final test, the first session will not be played. Due to the incessant rain, it may also happen that the first day’s play could not take place.
Tough competition between the two teams
New Zealand’s team is also equipped with star players and Tom Latham can open the innings with Devon Conway. At the same time, the responsibility of the team’s batting will be in the hands of captain Kane Williamson, Ross Taylor and Henry Nicholls. This could be BJ Watling’s last Test match as a wicketkeeper. The bowling attack of the Kiwi team is tremendous and this is the biggest concern for Team India. Trent Boult, Tim Southee and Neil Wagner will definitely be in the team, while Colin de Gandholm, Kyle Jamieson, Matt Henry and Ajaz Patel will get a chance.
There is no doubt that the team of India and New Zealand is very strong and there is no dearth of champion players in both the teams. Team India has announced its playing XI and the responsibility of opening the Indian innings will be in the hands of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill. Team India looks very balanced and if this team plays to its full potential then winning the title is not difficult. The batting of the team looks very strong, with Rohit and Gill followed by Pujara, Kohli, Rahane, Rishabh, Jadeja and Ashwin. The bowling attack can hardly be better than this because if spin helps on the pitch, Ashwin and Jadeja will wreak havoc, while Simmers gets help, then there is the trio of Shami, Bumrah and Ishant.
