Retired judge of Allahabad High Court Devendra Kumar Arora will be in the role of chairman in the judicial inquiry commission. Who is Devendra Kumar Arora?
Retired judge of Allahabad High Court Devendra Kumar Arora was born on 20 June 1957. He was very interested in studying law. Due to this interest, he did his initial college education from Lucknow University. He graduated in law from Lucknow University in 1982. After this, in 1984, he completed PG Diploma (DLL) in Labor Law from Indian Law Institute, New Delhi.
During this time, he completed his Post Graduation (LLM) in Law from Lucknow University (1983-85). Due to his good understanding and knowledge of the subject of law, he got the highest marks in Constitutional Law in LLM. The promising Devendra Kumar Arora was awarded the ‘Pandit Jagmohan Nath Chak Memorial Gold Medal’ for getting the highest marks.
Did Post Graduation and Research in Law
He completed his Post Graduation in Law from Lucknow University in 1985. He did not end his growing interest in studying law here, but to deepen his knowledge in this subject, he took admission in Doctor of Law (LL.D) in Lucknow University in 2013. He was honored once again. Lucknow University awarded him the Jagdish Prasad Legal Research Gold Medal in 2013. Now the time had come to put all his knowledge to work. So on 12 February 1983, he got registered as a lawyer. He practised for a long time in constitutional, educational, contract and land acquisition cases in Allahabad High Court, Lucknow and Supreme Court.
Made Advocate General and High Court Judge in Uttar Pradesh
Devendra Kumar Arora was made Additional Advocate General of Uttar Pradesh. Worked as Chancellor and Visitor in Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Commission in Uttar Pradesh Government. Worked as Special Advocate for State University and H.E. since 1995. He also got a chance to work as a permanent lawyer for UP.
Worked as a permanent lawyer in Agra, Jhansi, Faizabad, Gorakhpur Universities. Served as Senior Advocate for Civil Aviation Department, UP, Noida, Scooter India Limited. He was promoted as Additional Judge on 13 April 2009 and got a chance to work as a Judge of Allahabad High Court. He took oath as a permanent judge on 24 December 2010. He retired on 19 June 2019.
Who is retired IAS officer Amit Mohan?
The second important name in the judicial team of Sambhal violence is that of retired IAS officer Amit Mohan. Amit Mohan was born on 4 March 1964 in Begusarai district of Bihar. He started his career as a finance and personnel executive trainee in NTPC in January 1987. In 1987 itself, Amit Mohan was selected in the Indian Railway Accounts Service. His line of success did not stop here and the results of his hard work started coming out one by one.
On 21 August 1989, he got selected in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), one of the highest examinations of the country. His first posting was on 27 August 1990 as Assistant Magistrate in Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. He worked in most of Uttar Pradesh and some districts of Uttarakhand. He worked on various posts including District Magistrate of Jalaun, Mirzapur, Muzaffarnagar and Meerut.
Popularity among farmers
He performed his responsibility in the general elections for three Lok Sabha and one assembly in these four districts. From April 2007 to April 2012, he also worked as Director and later Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in the Central Government. As Joint Secretary, RCH, he handled the Pulse Polio program and Universal Immunization Program and as Joint Secretary Policy, he conducted the NRHM program. From June 2012 to October 2014, he took over the responsibility as the Chief Vigilance Officer of Oil India Limited.
Apart from this, he also worked as Investment Commissioner of UP and Chief Executive Officer of Noida and Greater Noida. He became a part of big responsibility as Principal Secretary, Agriculture, Uttar Pradesh in two tenures for about 5 years. In 2015, he became a part of Direct Benefit Transfer in Agricultural Subsidy. At that time it was started for the first time in the country. He started many new programs like Farm Pond Scheme for Bundelkhand. It is very popular among farmers. This helped farmers a lot in creating additional irrigation capacity and increasing the water level.
He started a unique and innovative program for Million Farmers School Agricultural Extension to promote Agri Junction entrepreneurship. It is organized twice every year and more than one million farmers are trained in every stage. Worked as Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Medical, Health and Family Welfare from February 2020 to August 2022.
These big works were done during the Corona epidemic
During the pandemic situation in the country, he has played an important role in strategizing and implementing many measures for its management. IAS officer Amit Mohan developed the cluster model of vaccination to rapidly administer the COVID vaccine on a large scale. He made many systemic reforms, including making recruitment rules for specialist doctors, starting a separate training division for them, restarting 35 ANM training centers after more than 30 years, starting 5000 new health sub-centers in a year, etc.
At the end of his career, he retired from the post of Additional Chief Secretary of MSME, Textiles and Khadi and Village Industries Department of the Uttar Pradesh government. Now he has been made a part of the judicial investigation team in the Sambhal violence case.
Who is retired IPS Arvind Kumar Jain?
Former IPS officer Arvind Kumar Jain, a resident of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, was born on 13 March 1955. His father’s name is J.R. Jain. He is well versed in history. He completed his post graduation in Modern History. He completed his studies from Haldwani and Moradabad. He was selected in the civil services examination.
Arvind Kumar Jain is a 1979 batch IPS officer. IPS Arvind Kumar Jain is one of the most popular officers among the public. He is known as one of the public friendly officers. He curbed criminal incidents in western Uttar Pradesh.

Arvind Kumar Jain got the opportunity to work as ADG in Railways in 2012. He was promoted as DG in 2013 itself. He did not like lazy officers at all. For his efficiency, he was given an important responsibility like Director General of Police in Uttar Pradesh. He retired from the post of Director General.
