Hyderabad: 19-year-old Trishna Rai, a resident of Bhubaneswar, Odisha, has won the Miss Teen Universe 2024 crown. Ten finalists from Peru, South Africa, Brazil, Kenya, Portugal and the Netherlands, among others, participated in the pageant held in Kimberley, South Africa from November 1 to 9.
Trishna Rai’s talent and grace helped her win the title of Miss Teen Universe 2024. Anne Thorson of Peru and Precious Andre of Namibia were the first and second runners-up respectively.
After her win, KIIT University founder Dr Achyuta Samanta congratulated Trishna and explained how Trishna Rai’s strong willpower made her victory worthwhile.
Former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also congratulated Trishna on her success through social media. Sharing a picture of Ray on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote, ‘Congratulations to Trishna Rai of Odisha on winning the title of Miss Teen Universe 2024 in Kimberley, South Africa. I wish her to touch new heights in her career and make our state proud. Best wishes for her future’.
Who is Trishna Rai?
Trishna Rai, who is studying fashion technology at KIIT, is the daughter of Colonel Dilip Kumar Ray and Rajshree Ray. It was not easy for her to reach this destination. She had to face many challenges. Due to visa-related problems, she lost many opportunities in republics like Colombia and Dominican Republic. Despite all the problems, she did not give up and ultimately paved the way for her victory in South Africa.
