Lucknow. The film ‘The Kashmir Files’ has also been made tax free in Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued instructions in this regard. Earlier this film has been made tax free in many states. The film depicts the mistreatment of Kashmiri Pandits there in the 1990s.
The Yogi Adityanath government has taken the decision to make the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ tax free in Uttar Pradesh also, which narrates the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits and that horror. Directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, the film has already been made tax free in many states. Similar demand was being made in UP also.

Before the Uttar Pradesh government, the governments of Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat have also made this film tax free. The film’s producer Abhishek Aggarwal shared the pictures on Twitter and said that PM Modi has praised the film ‘The Kashmir Files’. He wrote in his tweet, ‘Glad to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His praise about ‘The Kashmir Files’ makes it even more special.
Political reactions: Political reactions have also started on this decision of the government. BJP state president Swatantradev Singh thanked Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath by tweeting, while Rashtriya Lok Dal president Jayant Chaudhary raised questions on this. He tweeted- ‘Reduce duty on diesel-petrol. Reduce tax on farmer’s tractor and equipment. What does it mean to declare a cinema film tax free?’
