Lucknow. Fees will not be increased in private secondary schools of all boards of Uttar Pradesh even in the new academic session 2022-23. Due to the Corona epidemic, the Secondary Education Department has decided not to increase the fees this year as well. Private schools will be able to charge fees only according to the fee structure fixed in the year 2019-20. Due to the decision not to increase the fees for the third consecutive year, the parents have got a big relief in the midst of the corona epidemic.
On behalf of Additional Chief Secretary, Secondary Education, Aradhana Shukla, an order has been issued to not increase the fees by private secondary schools even in the academic session 2022-23. Due to the corona epidemic, fees were not increased in the academic session 2020-21 and 2021-22. That is, even for the third consecutive year, private schools will not be able to increase the fees. This decision will be applicable to private schools of all boards including UP Board, CBBSE and CISCE.
If any private school increases the fees, then parents and students will complain to the District Fee Fixation Regulatory Committee constituted under section-eight (a) of the UP Self-financed Independent Schools (Fee Fixation) Act, 2018 and action will be taken. Instructions have been given to all the District School Inspectors that no private school should continuously monitor the fee hike.
