Etawah. A year and a half ago, the accused of raping a seven-year-old girl was convicted by Special Judge POCSO Act Rampratap Singh Rana after hearing both the sides in detail. Under this, he was sentenced to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 20,000.
Special Public Prosecutor POCSO Act Dashrath Singh Chauhan said that on July 2, 2020, a case of POCSO Act and rape was registered against Shishupal son Balkishan of a village under Balrai police station. It was said that when a seven-year-old girl came home on the same day in the afternoon, her mother inquired after seeing her clothes spoiled, then the girl, while playing under the Jamun tree on the above-mentioned, pretended to be raped by taking her to the field. Police reached the spot and caught the accused. In the village, the accused girl seems to be a maternal grandfather in the relationship. Medical examination of the girl was done. The police quickly investigated the matter and submitted the charge sheet against Shishupal in the court.
