Lucknow. Police officers and personnel will not get leave in Uttar Pradesh till October 18 in view of the festivals of Navratri and Dussehra and the harsh attitude of the United Kisan Morcha. Leave from Headquarters will be allowed during this period only for unavoidable reasons. An order in this regard has been issued by Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar on Sunday.
Sharadiya Navratri is going on. Durga Puja pandals are being set up at various places during Navratri. Ramlila is also being staged. The festival of Dussehra is on 15th October. In view of the festivals, overcrowding is set to increase in temples, Durga Puja pandals, Ramlilas, markets and public places. On the other hand, the United Kisan Morcha has announced to burn effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Dussehra on October 15 and Rail Roko movement on October 18. This has increased the challenge on the law and order front.
In this context, Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar has asked all Zonal Additional Director General of Police, Commissioner of Police, Regional Inspector General of Police, Deputy Inspector General of Police, District Police In-charge, Superintendent of Police, Railways not to allow leave to police personnel till October 18. has ordered.
Let us inform that after the violence in Lakhimpur Kheri, the challenge of peace and order is increasing in other districts of Uttar Pradesh as well. Along with activating the intelligence system, instructions have been given to take extra vigil in many districts. Especially the peace and order of Navratri starting from October 7 and Dussehra on October 15 will be no less than an ordeal. This is the reason that after this instructions have been given to make strict arrangements regarding the security arrangements for Durga Puja, Ram Navami and Dussehra.
Uttar Pradesh ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar said that strict arrangements are being made for the security arrangements for Durga Puja, Ram Navami and Dussehra. The police will deal strictly with those spreading rumors or creating disturbances anywhere. Additional police and PAC will be prepared at sensitive places. During this, five company Central Armed Police Forces will also be stationed at different places. Strict instructions have been given to monitor internet media.
