Out of 4 farmers killed in the uproar in Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh, the families of 2 farmers have refused to perform the cremation. During this, the family is adamant on the matter of performing the last rites only after seeing the post-mortem report. At the same time, the family members allege that there may be a ‘game’ in the post-mortem report. As soon as the information of this matter was received, IG Laxmi Singh of Lucknow range reached the village of Nakshatra Singh, a farmer of Dhaurhara and is trying to persuade his family members for the last rites.
In fact, many people had lost their lives in the violent uproar in Lakhimpur Kheri district on the previous day, due to which the last rites of Lovepreet Singh of Palia and farmer Nakshatra Singh in Dhaurhara were to be held on Tuesday morning i.e. today. Due to which the family members refused to perform the last rites. At the same time, the family members say that why the post-mortem report has not been given yet. Seeing this matter increasing, local leaders from across the district have also reached the village.
These 4 conditions were agreed with the farmers
It is worth mentioning that earlier yesterday, Rs 45-45 lakh compensation to the families of the deceased and a government job to each member of the family on the basis of merit. Also, compensation of Rs 10 lakh should be given to the injured. Apart from this, after the consent of the retired judge of the High Court to investigate the whole matter, the family members agreed to perform the last rites. At the same time, after the ruckus broke out, the enraged people had placed 4 dead bodies on the road outside Tikunia village on Sunday. At the same time, the angry villagers had bluntly replied to the police-administration that until their demand was not fulfilled, they would not cremate the dead body.
Post-mortem of dead bodies took place after persuading farmer leaders
During this, the crowd of people kept coming to the village after filling them in vehicles for the whole Monday and people kept paying their last respects to the four dead bodies. At the same time, the dead bodies were kept there till more than 24 hours had elapsed. When finally the way for reconciliation was made, the local villagers handed over the dead body to the police after persuasion by Rakesh Tikait, farmer leader of Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU). After this his post-mortem could be done.
Keep all four bodies on the road by keeping the ice cubes
Let us inform that after the arson and violence that took place in Tikunia village on the previous day, the people who were furious, demanding action, created a ruckus. Due to this people put two bodies on the road outside the village. After some time, two other farmers came there from the hospital with the bodies and closed the road by keeping the four dead bodies on ice. During this, the family members were not getting ready to hand over the dead body to the police in any case. At the same time, the district administration and police tried a lot to explain but the overnight exercise seemed to fail. After this the four bodies were kept in glass cabins and ice blocks were laid below. Near which people laid rugs, sheets and people in turn were influx of people to have the last glimpse of the dead bodies.
