Aligarh. In the police station and town Godha, a woman was beaten to death by her in-laws for not fulfilling the demand for dowry. In this case, the woman’s father has filed a case against five in-laws including her husband. After the incident, the in-laws ran away from the house.

Nanak Chand, a resident of village Rahasupura in Harduaganj area, has said that 21-year-old daughter Neelam was married on February 9, 2020, last year with Godha resident Chanderpal by donating dowry according to her status. It is alleged that the in-laws were not satisfied with the dowry received in the marriage and used to beat the daughter every day. On Monday morning, Chandrapal brutally assaulted Neelam. Due to which he died on the spot. Neelam was four months pregnant. The in-laws fled the house after the incident. Inspector Godha Ramsia Maurya said that on behalf of father Nanak Chand, a case of dowry murder has been registered against five in-laws including Neelam’s husband Chandrapal, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, investigation is going on in the matter.
