New Delhi. The team of Rajasthan Royals, winner of the first season of the Indian Premier League, looks in trouble in the 14th season. The team has won only two after playing 5 matches so far. This season, the team is facing a shortage of its star players. Four foreign players are facing trouble due to injury, bio-bubble fatigue and Kovid-19 strain.
Rajasthan’s team suffered the biggest blow at the start of the tournament when star all-rounder Ben Stokes was ruled out due to injury. Fast bowler Joffra Archer is also out of the IPL due to injury while Liam Livingstone returns home. On Monday, news came that Andrew Tye had also withdrawn. Due to the withdrawal of players, Rajasthan has become the worst affected team.
Rajasthan Royals have approached other teams to take players on loan for the current season of IPL. A team source said, “The team is planning to take the players on loan and has written to other franchisees about it, but nothing has been decided at the moment.”
The loan time of the IPL has started on Monday and will continue till the end of league matches. According to IPL rules, a player who plays less than two matches can be given on loan and cannot play against his domestic franchise.
