Kanpur. The police have not filed a report after Saraf’s suicide case was filed in Barra by a family member. The relatives of the deceased say that if the report is not filed in two days, then they will plead with the higher authorities.
Amit Soni, a resident of Jarauli in Barra, committed suicide by hanging himself. Police had found a suicide note in the room search, in which he had mentioned the transaction to some people. Later, in a diary found in the room, Swajan had found a complaint application written in the name of the station in-charge of the year 2018, Barra, in which he wrote that two people from the area had fed him gambling and betting. After losing, he was loaned a few rupees to play again. It was alleged that they wanted to recover 60 thousand rupees from him in lieu of the amount lent. Swajan says that these people were constantly pressurizing him, due to which, Amit has committed suicide. The family had handed over the old application to the police, after which the police had taken out the CDR of the deceased’s mobile, in which five suspicious numbers were found. After this, the police have not taken any action so far.
Swajan alleges that even after more than a week, the police have neither filed a report against the accused bookies nor made any efforts to nab them. If the police does not file a report in two days, then they will plead to the high officials and demand action. When the matter was discussed with the station in-charge Barra Harmeet Singh, he said that the matter is being investigated. After investigation, action will be taken against the accused by filing a report.
