Srinagar. The weather remained pleasant on Friday in Jammu and Kashmir. The Meteorological Department estimates that the Union Territory may experience moderate to heavy rain and snowfall for the next 3 days from March 22. “The weather is expected to remain largely dry and pleasant till March 21. But moderate to heavy rain or snowfall is expected from March 22 to 24 after that,” said an official of the meteorological department.
Meanwhile, Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of 5.8 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam 0.7 degrees and Gulmarg zero degrees Celsius. Leh town in Ladakh recorded a minimum night temperature of minus 5.1, minus 5.4 in Kargil and minus 9.3 degrees in Drass. Meanwhile, Jammu city recorded a minimum temperature of 15.7, Katra 15.2, Batote 9.2, Benihal 7.2 and Bhaderwah 5.9 degrees Celsius.
