new Delhi. The Kisan Sena, calling the new agricultural laws as beneficial for the farmers, has requested the government not to change them. Representatives of farmers from 15 districts of Uttar Pradesh under the banner of Kisan Sena met Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on Thursday and supported the new law. Uttam Singh of Agra, who joined the delegation, said that if the government withdraws the new agricultural laws, the Kisan Sena will make a big movement.
In protest against the three agricultural laws implemented by the central government, about 40 farmer organizations have been going on the protest against the boundaries of Delhi for a month. On the other hand, the process of meeting the Union Agriculture Minister is going on daily for the farmer organizations supporting the law.
In the same sequence, before the Kisan Sena, representatives of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangh, Baghpat (Uttar Pradesh) met Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar at Krishi Bhavan here. Representatives of both organizations called the new agrarian reforms a historic step for the Modi government.
On this occasion, the representatives of the farmers’ organizations said in a tone that the agrarian reform laws are going to change the condition and direction of the farmers and they should not be withdrawn under any circumstances.
Addressing the representatives of the farmers’ organizations, Tomar said that the opposition parties who have not been able to do any important work for the welfare and empowerment of the farmers, despite being in government for a long time, are raising questions today.
On this occasion, Baghpat MP and former Union Minister Satyapal Singh, Kisan Mazdoor Sangh President Chaudhary Prakash Tomar, Vice President Thakur Rajendra Singh, General Minister Baburam Ram Tyagi, Kisan Sena National Convenor Gaurishankar Singh and other officials were present.
