Lucknow . To improve the health of Uttar Pradesh roads, the Yogi government is now going to remove road ambulances. The state government is going to give a new pace to the campaign to free the roads. The Public Works Department is going to deploy road ambulances under pilot project in about half a dozen districts of the state. With the deployment of road ambulances, the state government is going to set a new standard of roads in UP.
The Yogi government is working on three fronts simultaneously through the Road Ambulance Scheme. Along with damming the roads, the government plans to prevent major damage by repairing the damaged roads immediately. With the presence of road ambulances, the government is also going to take the plan for regular security, cleaning and maintenance of roads.
A road ambulance equipped with all the technical and gang related road construction including mix, generator, is being prepared at a cost of more than Rs 40 lakhs. It is considered to be the most state of the art road ambulance used in any state of the country. The Yogi government is preparing about a dozen road ambulances for the first phase. Road ambulances will be deployed in about half a dozen metros of the state including Lucknow, Kanpur in the first phase. The Public Works Department is preparing to launch road ambulances on the roads after January.
Departmental officials said that 3 to 4 employees will be deployed along with all the road repair technical facilities and repair material in the road ambulance. The ambulance itself will repair it in case the roads are damaged. On the basis of getting information from people, the road will be repaired by reaching the spot.
It is worth noting that the Yogi government is constantly running a campaign to make the roads pit-free along with laying new roads throughout the state. The road ambulance scheme is considered to be a major step of the state government in this direction. Road ambulance scheme can become a vision towards making the roads of UP pit free.
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that the road ambulance is being launched as a pilot project. It will be expanded from time to time as per the requirement. Uttar Pradesh is the largest state in the country. It has the largest network of roads here. We are also responsible for its repair. Road ambulance will be very economical, helpful in accelerated improvement of roads.
Maurya said that our effort is to provide good facilities to the people of the state, so the ambulance facility has been started as a pilot project. After this it will be implemented in the entire state.
