Delhi. The United Kisan Morcha has once again made it clear that the proposal to amend the new agricultural laws is not acceptable to the farmers and they want to repeal the three agricultural laws. However, in a letter written to the government by the Morcha, it has been said that if the government wants to pursue the negotiations with a clear intention, then the farmers associations are ready for talks. Leaders of about 40 farmer organizations under the banner of United Kisan Morcha are leading the farmers protesting on the borders of Delhi, the capital of the country. Responding to a letter written on 20 December by Kisan Vivek Agarwal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Dr. Darshan Pal of Revolutionary Farmers Union Punjab on behalf of the Front said, “The written proposals you sent on 9 December 2020 were 5 There is a repeat of the verbal proposals that we have already rejected in the December talks. ”
However, he further said in the letter that the protesting farmers and farmers’ organizations are ready for talks with the government and are waiting for when the government can proceed with this mind with open mind, open mind and clear intention.
“You are requested to send a concrete proposal in writing, instead of repeating the rejected proposals for meaningless amendments, so that it can be made an agenda and re-start the negotiations at the earliest,” he said.
In the letter, he also accused the government of defaming farmers. He said, “We are also very sad to say that like many other efforts of the Government of India, this letter is also an attempt to discredit the farmer movement in new ways. It is not hidden from anyone that the Government of India It is trying to portray the peaceful, grassroots and lawful struggle of the peasants of the entire country as separatists and extremists, to be communalistic and regional in color and to portray absurd and irrational appearance. ”
He further said, the truth is that the farmers have negotiated cleanly, but this negotiation has been resorted to by the government.
On the other hand, calling the farmer organizations in support of the new agricultural law bogus, he said, “The government is constantly trying to break this movement by holding parallel talks with the so-called farmer leaders and paper organizations that have any connection with the ongoing movement.” No. You are dealing with the protesting farmers as if they are not political groups of the government, rather than a group of troubled citizens of India! This attitude of the government is forcing the farmers to intensify their protest to protect their existence. . “
