Düsseldorf | After being postponed for nearly six months, the FIH Hockey Pro League began on Tuesday, with the German women’s and Belgian men’s hockey teams winning their respective matches. The German women’s team beat Belgium 2–0. For Germany, Naomi Heine and Lina Michele scored goals.
In the men’s match, the defending world champion Belgium beat the German team 6–1.
For Belgium, Alexander Hendrick, William Gislen and Nicolas de Kerpel scored in the first half.
In the second half, Antoine Kiana and Loic Lupert scored. Luca Windfeder scored the only goal for Germany.
