After a lot of criticism, Virat Kohli finally played a match in the domestic cricket tournament Ranji Trophy. But here too his bat remained silent. Virat Kohli played a Ranji Trophy match for Delhi against Railways from 30 January to 1 February. In which he scored only 6 runs and his wicket was taken by Himanshu Sangwan. Himanshu shared the story behind Virat’s wicket
In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Himanshu Sangwan said, “Before the match, there was a discussion that Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant could play for Delhi. Later it was found out that Rishabh will not play but Virat will play and the match will be live streamed. Every member of our team told me that I should take Virat’s wicket.”
The most interesting thing was that Himanshu Sangwan was advised to get Virat Kohli out not by any coach or senior player, but by the driver of the team bus. Himanshu said, “The bus driver told me to bowl outside the fourth-fifth stump to Virat Kohli, so that he would get out. I had faith in myself. I focused on my strength and finally got his wicket.”
