Mumbai: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan on Monday made his first public appearance after surviving a knife attack at his Bandra residence last month. The 54-year-old star attended Netflix’s slate announcement event where he launched the teaser of his upcoming film Jewel Thief. This is the first film he has announced after the attack. It marks a strong comeback after surgery and recovery.

The teaser introduces Jaideep as a powerful criminal who hires a thief to steal the world’s most elusive diamond – the African Red Sun. The thief is none other than Saif Ali Khan. Saif Ali Khan is playing the role of a thief in the film who tries to steal the African Red Sun diamond worth Rs 500 crore.
Saif attended the event for the first time after the attack
On January 16, an intruder attacked Saif Ali Khan with a knife several times, after which he was admitted to Lilavati Hospital. At the event, Saif said, ‘It feels great to stand here in front of you and it feels great to be here. I am very excited about this film. Siddharth and I have been talking about this film for a long time, and I always wanted to do a robbery film and I could not have asked for a better actor for such a film.’
This film has been written by Siddharth Anand, who has made films like Pathan, War, Fighter. It stars Saif Ali Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat and Kunal Kapoor in the lead roles. From the teaser, it can be guessed that this film will be full of deception, thrill and action.
