Police is investigating the suicide case of famous radio jockey RJ Simran Singh, who hails from Jammu. It is not yet clear why the 25-year-old radio jockey took this horrific step. Was she going through some stress or is the matter something else? To know the answers to many such questions, the police is interrogating Simran’s family members and all her close friends.
Simran lived in Kothi No. 59 in Sector-47, Gurugram. Her body was found here on Thursday. Simran’s friend living with her had informed the police about this.
Simran had studied from Central University Jammu. She was very promising. From there, she got placed as an RJ in Radio Mirchi. Simran became very famous at a very young age. The magic of her voice was such that people also called her ‘Jammu ki Dhadkan’. She was a social media influencer. She has 7 lakh followers on Instagram (rjsimransingh). Simran posted her last post on Instagram on December 13. Sharing this post, Simran wrote – Just a girl on the beach with endless laughter and her gown.
Shifted from Jammu to Gurugram in 2021
According to the information – Simran was originally from Nanak Nagar in Jammu. Worked in Radio Mirchi for a few years. Then leaving the job, Simran came to Gurugram in the year 2021. Here she rented a bungalow with some friends. All the friends lived in this bungalow.
Here Simran was working as a freelancer. Along with this, she was also very active on social media. Her videos used to get millions of views. After losing the daughter, the family was crying badly. Simran was closest to her maternal grandfather in the house. Simran, the beloved of the parents, has now said goodbye to this world forever. There is a wave of mourning in the whole of Jammu due to her death.
CM of Jammu expressed condolences
CM of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah and his father Farooq Abdullah have also expressed condolences on Simran’s death. They said in a joint statement- ‘Simran’s voice and charm matched the spirit of Jammu and Kashmir. Her contribution to the cultural fabric of our region will always be remembered.’
Committed suicide on the night of 26 December
According to Gurugram Police- We received a call from a friend of RJ Simran Singh, who lives in the same bungalow, at around 9.30 pm on Wednesday night. He told us that Simran has locked herself inside the room and is not opening the door. When the police team reached the bungalow, the door was locked from inside.
When the police somehow opened the door of the room and entered inside, Simran’s body was found hanging from a noose in the room. No suicide note was also found near Simran, which could reveal the reason for her suicide. The police searched for evidence etc. from the bungalow. After which the body was sent to the mortuary for postmortem. The body was handed over to the family after postmortem. The reason for the suicide has not been ascertained yet. Investigation is going on in the case.
