In Uttar Pradesh, 52 IPS officers have got the gift of promotion before the new year. In the meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), IPS officers of 2000, 2007, 2011, 2012 and 2021 batch were promoted. Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, DGP Prashant Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary Home Deepak Kumar and Principal Secretary Appointment M. Devraj attended the meeting.
These officers became ADG
Among the IPS officers of 2000 batch, Noida Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh, UP ATS Chief Neelabhja Chaudhary and Lucknow Range IG Prashant Kumar II were made Additional Director General of Police.
12 officers of 2007 batch became IG
12 IPS officers of 2007 batch were promoted from DIG to IG. These include DIG Amit Pathak of Devipatan Range, DIG Headquarters Ravi Shankar Chhabi, DIG Security Vinod Kumar, DIG Jogendra Kumar of Kanpur Range, DIG Rakesh Pratap Singh of Mirzapur Range, DIG Bharti Singh of Meerut Training School, Additional Police Commissioner of Kanpur Vipin Kumar Mishra, DIG Yogesh Kumar Singh of Women and Child Protection Organization and DIG Geeta Singh of Prosecution.
22 officers of 2011 batch became DIG
Out of 27 IPS officers of 2011 batch, 22 were promoted to the post of DIG. Prominent among them are Mathura SSP Shailesh Pandey, Muzaffarnagar SSP Abhishek Singh, Shahjahanpur SSP Rajesh S, Farrukhabad SSP Alok Priyadarshi, Jhansi SSP Sudha Singh and Lucknow Police Commissionerate’s Tej Swaroop.
Selection grade to 2012 batch
15 officers of 2012 batch have been given selection grade. These include Vijay Dhull, Sachindra Patel, Sankalp Sharma, Vipin Tada, Sujata Singh, Abhishek Yadav, Santosh Mishra, Yamuna Prasad and Salman Taj Patil of UP 112.
