In the case of Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal being claimed to be Harihar temple, the first hearing is scheduled on 29 November in the court of Civil Judge Senior Division Sambhal located in Chandausi. The survey report is likely to be filed in the court on the same day. The police administration has made strict security arrangements for this.
On 19 November, eight litigants including Rishiraj Giri, Mahant of Kaila Devi temple, Harishankar Jain had filed a claim against six people in the court of Civil Judge Senior Division Sambhal located in Chandausi regarding Shahi Jama Masjid of Sambhal being Harihar temple. The court appointed court commissioner Ramesh Singh Raghav on the same day and ordered a survey (commission) to be conducted, and the next date for hearing was fixed for 29 November. The court commissioner had reached Shahi Jama Masjid with the team to conduct the survey that evening. After this, when he reached for the survey again under the protection of DM and SP on last Sunday morning, there was a ruckus in Sambhal. In which five people lost their lives.
The survey report can be presented in the court on Friday. Peace should be maintained in the city. The administration has made complete security arrangements for this. On Thursday, in-charge of court security Veerpal Singh and city Kotwal Renu Singh were busy in the security arrangements of the court. CO Santosh Kumar also inspected the spot. Along with this, a trial of drone camera was also done for the security of the court. He also talked to the advocates and appealed for cooperation. On Friday, from 8 am onwards, all the roads leading to the court including Shaktinagar, Munsif Road and Awas Vikas adjacent to the court will be sealed by barricading. Common people will not be allowed entry in this direction. Registered advocates will also be allowed entry in the court premises. There will be a complete ban on the entry of litigants. Not only this, police will also be deployed on the roofs of houses around the court.
Monitoring was done with drone camera in Muslim dominated area
The police administration looked alert from Thursday itself. CO Santosh Kumar and Kotwal Renu Singh, along with heavy police, monitored Muslim dominated areas Laxman Ganj, Sikri Gate, Pajaya, Jarai Gate, Sambhal Gate etc. with drone cameras. Bricks and stones were found kept on the roofs of many houses. Due to which the police immediately got the homeowners to remove the bricks and stones from the roofs. Also advised not to keep bricks and stones on the roofs in future. Apart from this, announcements were made through e-rickshaws in Muslim dominated localities. In which everyone was appealed to maintain peace and order. Also, outsiders were appealed not to stay in the house.
Municipality employees removed debris from the roads leading to the court
The debris collected during the encroachment campaign on the roads leading to the district court was removed. Municipal employees were engaged in lifting the debris since Thursday morning. By noon, all the roads leading to the court were repaired.
