Varanasi. Once again, a girl student was molested in the BHU campus. In this case, the police arrested two accused Sanjay Sahni and Vimlesh Sahni, residents of Tikri, Naya Basti, Chitaipur. One accused JCB Sahni managed to escape from the spot.
Two students of the Arts Faculty were strolling in the campus with a friend at around 10 pm on Monday night. Three youths who came from behind on a bike near Swatantrata Bhawan molested them and tried to run away. The friend of the students chased them while making noise and with the help of security personnel caught two accused near Sir Gate. One youth managed to escape leaving the bike.
FIR registered on the complaint of the girl student
Police station in-charge inspector, Lanka Shivakant Mishra said that a case has been registered on the complaint of the girl student. All three are from the same village. The bike has been seized and the search for the absconding accused is on.
Misbehavior and assault with a student of the Faculty of Education
Two youths travelling in a car near Hyderabad Gate of BHU misbehaved and assaulted a student and a girl student of the Faculty of Education on Monday evening. Chief Proctor Prof. Shivprakash Singh said that the accused have been caught by the security personnel near LD intersection and handed over to the police. Police is taking action in the matter.
