Shaktinagar (Sonbhadra). A case of beating a youth and seriously injuring him and then urinating on him has come to light in the district. After the video related to the case was circulated on the internet media and the victim’s elder brother complained on X, the police swung into action and registered a case against eight people.
An accused Ankit Bharti, a resident of Nimiyadar village, has been arrested by the police. The victim belongs to the Scheduled Tribe while the accused belong to the Scheduled Caste.
In the video circulated on the internet media, it is seen that some youths are beating a youth of Shaktinagar police station area near barrier number one at around seven o’clock in the evening on September 26. The injured has been made to sit on the ground.
After this, a youth wearing half pants is urinating on the injured. Other accused youths are making a video while abusing the victim. It is also seen that the collar of the injured youth’s shirt is soaked in blood. The information about this incident that happened on September 26 was posted on the Act by the victim’s brother on Tuesday.
He has posted the entire matter to CM, PMO and police officials. After this, Shaktinagar police swung into action and inquired about the entire incident from the injured youth and his elder brother. Then arrested one of the accused Pawan.
In this regard, Additional Superintendent of Police Headquarters Kalu Singh said that the youth was beaten up on 26 September. After this, his family members took the injured to a private hospital in Baidhan, Madhya Pradesh for treatment. Due to this, no complaint was made to the police for four-five days. When he returned after getting treatment from there, he gave the information.
In this case, other accused are being searched. Kumud Shekhar Singh told the police station in-charge that a case has been registered in the case under section attempt to murder and various sections of BNS.
On the other hand, on Wednesday evening, Police Circle Officer Pipri Amit Kumar reached Shaktinagar police station and inquired about the incident from the police station in-charge and has formed a team and directed to arrest the other accused.
Before this, a Dalit was beaten up and urine was poured in his ear in Jugail police station area. In that case also, the police took immediate action and arrested the accused.
