Bareilly. An explosion took place in an illegal firecracker factory in Kalyanpur village of Sirauli. Five houses collapsed in the accident, three people died. Four people are seriously injured. Three people including two children are still missing after the incident.
It is feared that all three are buried under the debris, because at the time of the incident, all three were also making firecrackers. SDRF teams are working to find people by removing the debris on the spot.
The license was canceled two months ago
Nazim and Nasir, residents of Kaua Tola of Sirauli, are real brothers. Nasir had a license to sell firecrackers in his name. When the explosion took place at Nasir’s place on August 21, the administration canceled his license after filing an FIR. But even after this, he did not stop making firecrackers. It is being told that Nasir’s brother Nazim’s in-laws are in Kalyanpur. Meanwhile, it was decided between the two brothers that further firecrackers will be made at Nazim’s in-laws’ place. Therefore, on Wednesday, all the people were making crackers at Nazim’s in-laws’ house. Nazim’s father-in-law Rehman Shah, his wife Chhoti Begum, Nazim’s Fatima, Nasir’s Sitara, Nasir Rehman’s two grandsons Hasan and Hassan, and Rehman’s son Wahid’s wife Tabassum were present on the spot. Nazir was also present with them. SDRF teams engaged in rescue work. There was a sudden explosion at around 3:30 in the afternoon. In this, the houses of five people including Rehman’s house (in which crackers were being made) collapsed. Wahid’s wife Tabassum and Rukhsana, who lived in the neighboring house, died in the accident. About four people are seriously injured. Nasir, who was making crackers at the spot, and three people including children are missing. SDRF teams are trying to save everyone by removing the debris. The injured have been referred from the PHC and sent to the district hospital. On the other hand, the Chief Minister has taken cognizance of the incident. Orders for immediate better treatment have been issued.
