Voting for the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections took place in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh on Monday. BJP candidate Ramesh Awasthi is in the electoral fray from here. In front of him is Congress candidate Alok Mishra. Incidents of fighting and stone pelting between BJP and Congress workers have also come to light during the voting held on Monday. There was a clash between the workers of both the parties in the polling booth built in RS Public School in Chedi Singh Purwa area of Barra. Within no time this clash turned into stone pelting.
Actually, Congress workers were using abusive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the polling booth built in RS Public School. BJP workers had protested against this abusive language. Then Congress worker Guddu Yadav along with his colleagues pelted stones at the BJP supporters. Many people were injured in this incident.
Sanjay Paswan’s head burst
Fighting and stone pelting started between supporters of both the parties outside the polling station built in the school. In this stone pelting incident, BJP’s Barra Mandal President Sanjay Paswan’s head broke. Many other BJP workers were also injured. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital.
Police detained many
Eyewitnesses told that powerful Congress workers had beaten BJP workers and attacked them with stones in front of the police. This entire incident took place in Chedi Singh Purva area of Barra police station area. The police have brought all the accused to the police station. Where workers also clashed with the police. In this entire matter, the police have registered a case and detained some activists. The police is also examining the CCTV footage related to this incident. Police said that action will be taken against all the accused.
