In Uttar Pradesh, Railway Protection Force (RPF) has deboarded 93 children from Seemanchal Express under operation ‘Aahat’. According to the police, these children were being taken to Rajasthan and Uttarakhand without any ID. At the same time, 9 people carrying children have also been detained. At present the children are being counseled.
The matter is of Seemanchal Express train and Thursday. According to the police, the RPF and GRF team had received secret information about human trafficking. After this, the force reached the spot and deboarded 93 children from coach numbers S-6, S-7 and S-8 of train number 12487 from Seemanchal Express at Prayagraj Junction station. The age of the children is said to be 10 to 13 years.

According to the information, these children were going by train with six groups of agents. Along with these children, 9 people have also been deboarded from the train. Police investigation and interrogation revealed that these children were being taken to Rajasthan and Uttarakhand. Police say that no evidence of taking the children was found from the people taking them. Nor were the IDs of their parents or any other family member found with the children.
Children’s counseling continues
After this, the police team presented these children before the Child Welfare Committee/Prayagraj. At present these children are being looked after. Counseling is also going on. During this it was told that RPF had been collecting information in this matter for a long time. Also, action was taken to find out the location of the people carrying children in the train.
These children were boarded in Seemanchal Express from Araria station in Bihar. At the same time, even before the arrival of the train at Prayagraj Junction, the staff of RPF Women’s Wing and Child Help Line of Detective Wing were deployed on platform number two. During this, 93 children and nine agents were disembarked from three coaches.
