Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh government is paying special attention to sports talent and it is being respected across the state. To boost the enthusiasm of the players, the government is giving incentives like cash prizes and government jobs. It is thanks to these efforts of the Yogi government that the childhood dream of Parul Chaudhary of Meerut district has finally been fulfilled.
CM Yogi handed over the appointment letter for the post of DSP to Parul Chaudhary, who brought gold medal for India in the Asian Games 2022.
On January 27 (Saturday) in Lucknow, in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur, a big event was organized at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan for distribution of prize money and appointment letters to the talented players of the state.
CM Yogi distributed prize money of Rs 62 crore to the players of the state who won medals and participated in the Asian, Para Asian and 37th National Games. Along with this, he also gave appointment letters to seven players of UP as Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Youth Welfare Officer and Passenger/Goods Tax Officer.
Parul Chaudhary got appointment letter of DSP
The state government handed over the letter of appointment to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) along with an incentive amount of Rs 4.50 crore to gold medalist Parul Chaudhary in the 19th Asian Games-2022.
I wanted to become a DSP, that’s why I won the gold medal.
Parul Chaudhary says that there are better opportunities for players to progress in UP. He is very happy to receive the appointment letter for the post of DSP along with the incentive amount from the CM. Choudhary said, UP has a policy that if you get gold, you will directly join DSP, so this stuck in my mind and I wanted to become DSP, so I decided to win the gold medal.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that in the Asian Games, a female athlete (Parul Chaudhary) had said that she won the gold medal so that she could get the post of Deputy SP in our state. I had decided on the same day that I would definitely give the appointment letter for the post of Deputy SP to this player in the felicitation ceremony.
In the Asian Games, UP players won a total of 25 medals including seven gold, nine silver and nine bronze.
History created in 5000 meter race in Asian Games
Let us tell you that Parul Chaudhary created history by winning gold in the 5000 meter race in the Asian Games and won the silver medal in the 3000 meter steeple chase.
