Prayagraj. On Monday, the last day of nomination for the Urban Body General Election 2023, there is a huge commotion from the collectorate to the tehsils. More than one thousand nomination papers can be submitted on the last day. So far, a total of 88 nomination forms have been sold for the post of mayor, 1907 for corporator, 149 for president of Nagar Panchayat and 701 for the post of member. So far only five nominations have been received for the post of mayor, 429 nominations for councillors.
In such a situation, it is believed that on Monday, the maximum number of prescriptions will be filed. Candidates of BJP, Congress, BSP and Aam Aadmi Party will file nomination for the post of Mayor on Monday. At the same time, many small parties and independent candidates will also file papers. The candidates declared from these parties will also nominate for the post of corporator. More or less, in Nagar Panchayats also there is expected to be a fierce fight for the nomination of the post of president and member. That is why additional arrangements have been made in the enrollment rooms.
Additional staff has been deployed along with RO-ARO. Magistrates will also be stationed at the gate of nomination rooms. No person will be able to go inside the nomination room without checking. Only one proposer and two associates will be able to go to the nomination hall along with the claimant. The form will be filled during the videography in the enrollment room. The claimants and their accompanying people will enter the Collectorate premises on foot. Vehicles will not be able to go ahead of Laxmi Talkies intersection and Anand Hospital intersection.
Nomination papers will be scrutinized tomorrow
Those who will file their nominations till Monday in the civic body elections, their nomination papers will be scrutinized on Tuesday. The report of scrutiny of nomination papers will also be issued on the same day. The list of valid candidates will be pasted at the gate of nomination rooms. Withdrawal of names on April 20, symbol allotment on April 21.
