Azamgarh: The Bardah police arrested a 25,000 prize crook of the inter-state snatching gang in an encounter near Ahirauli village on Saturday morning. In retaliation by the police, two bullets hit the right leg of the miscreant. He has been admitted to the district hospital for treatment. Pistol, cash cartridges, looted bike and gold jewelery have been recovered from the miscreant. Three other miscreants including the girl involved in the gang have also been arrested by the police.
On November 29, miscreants snatched gold chain and ring from Anuj Chaudhary, resident of Budana, police station Modinagar, Ghaziabad, who came in a relationship near Godhra Bazar on Devgaon-Jivli road. A case was registered on the Tahrir of Anuj Chaudhary’s friend Mohit Singh, resident of Kadarabad police station, Modinagar, Ghaziabad. On December 9, the police arrested Kuldeep alias Kavaldeep, resident of Bharathipur, Thana Tarwan and Anshika, resident of Manikpur, Thana Gola, Gorakhpur from Bhira. Companions Deepak Yadav and Deepak Rajbhar had fled. Pistol, cartridges, gold chain and eight thousand rupees were recovered from Kuldeep and Rs 3400 from Anshika.

The Superintendent of Police had declared a reward of 25 thousand on Deepak Rajbhar resident of village Erni, Bardah. Inspector Sanjay Singh got information about Deepak going towards Ahirauli village. When the police laid siege, seeing the police, the miscreant fired three shots from the pistol. In retaliation, two bullets hit the right leg of the miscreant. He has been admitted to the district hospital for treatment. Pistol, two cartridges, four thousand rupees, looted bike and gold jewelery have been recovered from him.
Contributing to incidents in Azamgarh and surrounding districts
Police has also arrested Dinesh resident of Bharthipur, Tarwan involved in the incident from Devgaon. Kuldeep told that incidents happen in Azamgarh, Jaunpur, Ghazipur etc. districts. On August 13, Jagdish Yadav resident Chowki Pilkhuwa was shot and looted a chain on Jivali bypass. On November 19, bike and mobile were looted from Mawai, thana Khetasarai Road. At the instance of Kuldeep, the police recovered the bike from near Bhira Pokhre.
Used to include women in the gang as well
Incidents of loot and theft have been carried out in Ghazipur police station Bahariabad, Kasimabad, Jaunpur police station Khetasarai and Chandwak and police station Devgaon. He used to include the female member in his gang so that after the incident, the female member could be sent away after giving the looted property and weapons.
SP Anurag Arya told that gang members do incidents on footpaths, canals and deserted roads. Husband and wife were shot while looting in Bahariabad.
