Lucknow. The UP STF made another arrest on Sunday in connection with the allegations of corruption against the Vice Chancellor of Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur, Dr. Vinay Pathak. Ajay Jain, owner of International Business Farm Alwar Rajasthan, resident of DLF Gurugram, has been arrested for managing the commission amount of Vinay Pathak. 73 lakhs of commission was transferred to the account of the company of the accused. Earlier, Ajay Mishra, a close aide of Pathak, has been arrested by the STF.
Notice was given for questioning
According to the STF, the accused Ajay Jain was given a notice for questioning in connection with the issue of fake and forged bills and e-way bills to manage the money of Vice Chancellor Dr. Vinay Pathak. When the accused was questioned, he could not answer on many points. The accused showed many documents to the STF. In the investigation, it was found that Ajay Jain’s company is registered, despite this Ajay did corruption related money transactions. After this, he managed those money by preparing fake bills.
Accused confessed to forgery
During interrogation, the accused confessed to forgery. After this, the police arrested him late on Sunday night. In the case, the police have extended the name of Ajay Jain. Apart from this, other sections including conspiracy, forgery and cheating have also been increased against Vinay Pathak, Ajay Mishra and Ajay Jain. The STF says that the involvement of many others in corruption will be exposed, on the basis of which further action will be taken.

An FIR has been registered against Professor Vinay Pathak, Vice Chancellor of Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur, at Indiranagar police station for taking commission of lakhs of rupees while holding the post of Vice Chancellor of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra. The investigation of this case was transferred to STF. The STF arrested Ajay Mishra, a close aide of Pathak, and sent him to jail. On the other hand, Vinay Pathak has given a petition in the High Court to stay the arrest, which is to be heard on November 10.
