Lucknow. The security arrangements of Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, Lucknow will be made more agile. The work on the roads connecting the airport will also be completed soon. Emphasis is being laid on increasing the air connectivity of Prayagraj, Jaipur, Dehradun and Bhopal etc. This information was given in the meeting of Additional Chief Secretary Home and Aerodrome Committee regarding this on Tuesday. This high level meeting was held at Command Center Lok Bhavan under the chairmanship of committee chairman Avnish Awasthi. In the meeting, instructions were given to install additional security equipment keeping in mind the security of the airport.
Avnish Awasthi said that the construction of the road connecting the airport should be completed at the earliest, before alternative arrangements should also be made. So that the traffic is not obstructed in any way. He directed to make adequate lighting arrangements on the road connecting the airport to Kanpur Road. The meeting also reviewed the progress of construction of the third terminal at the airport.
After assessing the requirement of additional land for the airport and the budget for the same, the proposal will be prepared and submitted soon. The issue of domestic and international flights arriving at the airport was also discussed in the meeting. In the meeting, information about the status of passengers arriving at the airport in the last six months was given. District Magistrate Suryapal Gangwar, Special Secretary Home Rakesh Kumar Malpani, other members of the committee, police officers were present in the meeting.
