Rampur. The hearing of the cases against Rampur city MLA Azam Khan has accelerated. On Tuesday, hearing was held in MP-MLA court in three cases including SC-ST Act. One of these cases will also be heard on Wednesday.
The case of SC-ST Act against Samajwadi Party national general secretary Azam Khan was registered in Tanda police station in the year 2007. Then the assembly was going on. Azam Khan held a public meeting in Tanda for the election campaign. After the public meeting, BSP leader Dheeraj Kumar Sheel had registered a case against Azam Khan, accusing Azam Khan of using caste words while addressing the public meeting.
The plaintiff of the case is dead. On Tuesday, Inspector Viresh Kumar reached the court in this case. He recorded his statement. He was cross-examined by the defence. The argument is over. The court will now hear the next hearing on September 9. The second case pertains to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Then an indictment was registered against Azam Khan for making inflammatory speeches in Milak Kotwali, the hearing of which is going on. In this case, witness videographer Yogendra Kumar reached the court and recorded his statement. He was cross-examined by the defense counsel, which could not be completed. Now the matter will be heard again on August 31. The third case is of Dungarpur case.
11 indictments of Dungarpur case against Azam Khan were registered in Ganj Kotwali. Ehtesham, who had registered an indictment, came to testify in the court on Tuesday. He recorded his statement. He was cross-examined by the defense counsel. The argument has not been completed. The court will now hear on September 8.

The hearing in the two birth certificates case of MLA Abdullah Azam was completed on Tuesday. In this case, the witness passport officer Naseem Ahmed came to the court. He was cross-examined by the defense counsel. BJP leader Akash Saxena had registered an indictment against Abdullah for making two birth certificates of different dates of birth. Abdullah is the son of SP national general secretary and city MLA Azam Khan.
Azam Khan and his wife former MP Dr. Tajin Fatma are also accused in this case. The trial of the impeachment is going on in the MP-MLA Special Court (Magistrate’s Trial). Testimony is underway. On Tuesday, the witnesses came to the Passport Officer Court. His statements have already been recorded. The defense was being cross-examined, which was completed. BJP leader’s advocate Sandeep Saxena told that the court will now hear on September 3, in which Assistant Returning Officer Rai Singh has been summoned for testimony.
