According to PTI, an ACC source said, a message has been sent from the Sri Lanka Cricket Board that the political and economic situation is going on in their country at the moment, especially as far as foreign exchange is concerned, it is not an ideal situation at all. It is there for them to host this tournament. Asia Cup in which 6 big teams are going to participate.
The Sri Lanka Cricket Board has expressed a desire to organize the Asia Cup, but they are expressing their desire to organize it in the UAE or any other country. This tournament is to be organized before the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia between August-September, so the announcement regarding its event can be made in the next few days.
