Lucknow. More than 22 lakh government employees and pensioners of Uttar Pradesh will get cashless treatment facility from July 21. Health cards will be provided to them, on which a unique number will be given. Family members of employees and pensioners will also be able to take advantage of this. In this way a total of 75 lakh people will be benefited by the scheme. To give the benefit of the scheme, the health department has also started the registration of government employees and pensioners on the website sects.up.gov.in.
On Thursday, the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will launch the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay State Employees Cashless Medical Scheme. Under this scheme, cashless medical facility of a total of five lakh rupees will be given to one employee and pensioners along with family in a year in private hospitals affiliated to Ayushman Bharat scheme.
A total budget of Rs 100 crore has been allocated by the state government in the year 2022-23 to provide this facility. On Wednesday, an amount of Rs 10 crore was also released as its first installment. At present, treatment facilities are being provided under the Ayushman Bharat scheme in a total of 1900 private hospitals in the state. At the same time, they will be given unlimited cashless treatment facility in government hospitals. To get the cashless medical facility, application can be made through the website sects.up.gov.in for making a health card.
The BJP in its Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra had promised to provide cashless treatment to all government employees and pensioners. The state government has implemented it. Apart from the state employees and pensioners, their families will also be benefited by this scheme. These families will get free treatment facility up to Rs 5 lakh per annum in all private hospitals registered under Ayushman Yojana. Whereas the government will bear the entire cost of treatment in government hospitals.
