Hamirpur. The five-year-old innocent son of the clerk was kidnapped by two youths in broad daylight in the collectorate living in Viveknagar Mohalla of the district headquarters. The kidnappers have taken away the innocent on a bike, which has been seen by the police in the CCTV footage installed nearby. The kidnappers have called on the clerk’s phone and demanded a ransom of fifty lakh rupees for releasing the son.
Prabhat Tiwari, posted as Principal Assistant in Hamirpur Collectorate, lives in a house with family in Viveknagar locality of Headquarters. Vivek’s five-year-old son Vaibhav was kidnapped by two youths who came to the house at around 1:30 pm on Monday and took him away on a bike. By the time the people of the locality could understand something, the kidnappers were stunned. On getting information, people gathered at the clerk’s house and the police also reached on the information.
The police checked the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby, in which two masked youths were seen carrying the child on a bike. The bike number could not be found. After sometime, the clerk got two phone calls from the kidnappers on his mobile. Giving an hour’s time, he has demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh.
During the interrogation of the police, the clerk told that wife Geeta and son Vaibhav were in the house. Meanwhile, when the sound of knocking of the door of the house came, Vaibhav went to open the door. The miscreant standing outside caught Vaibhav and took away the son after riding with the companion standing with the start bike at some distance. Neighbor Raghavendra Singh told that he saw two youths carrying a child on a bike. The bike riders left fast until they could understand something. SP Shubham Patel, ASP Anoop Kumar, CO Sadar Ravi Prakash inspected the spot and questioned the people.
