Authority Chief Executive Officer Ritu Maheshwari said that the parking contractors will not be able to disturb the new parking system. All parking will be linked through mobile app. The concerned parking contractors were not paying the authority money. Orders have been given to cancel all parking tenders for non-receipt of money and other complaints even after several notices. The Noida Traffic Cell of the authority handling the parking has been directed to work diligently.
Despite the instructions, the arrangement was not being done properly.
Please inform that the parking was being operated by dividing the city into four clusters. Parking is running at 54 places in these four clusters. Parking at the respective locations in the city had started in January 2021. The parking contract was awarded by January 2023.
The contractors were not operating the parking as per the tender conditions. were not paying the prescribed fees to the authority. Apart from this, there were complaints of over-recovery of common people, over-charging of fees, etc. from place to place. On receiving complaints, the traffic cell was instructed to improve the system but the system did not improve.
Action taken against vehicles parked in no parking
In Sector-59, Noida, necessary action was taken as per rules against unauthorized vehicles parked in no parking and violating traffic rules. Action was taken against non-district autos and auto-temps for unloading passengers on the middle road, parked in no parking at Sector-52, 62, 100, 104 intersection.
DCP Traffic Ganesh Prasad Saha said that a meeting was held with the representative of the Authority, Transport Department, Auto Union. Action has been taken against 426 vehicles for violating traffic rules. 177 e-challans have been issued for parking the vehicle in no parking, 24 e-challans have been issued for jumping red light. Action is being taken against those who stand in the middle of the road.
