Balrampur. There was a stampede in the market as soon as there was a loud explosion from the shop of Om Prakash Gas Wale on Chowk Girls College Marg. The blast caused cracks in the roof and wall of the house. Police of Kotwali Nagar has reached and stopped the traffic from the side of Chowk and Girls Inter College. No casualties have been reported in the incident.
Om Prakash’s grandson Mata Prasad works as a LPG cylinder in the beach market. There was a sudden loud explosion at 11.30 am on Saturday. Hearing the sound of the blast, the people around were shocked. People informed the police. Another explosion occurred before firefighters arrived. The shop caught fire. The blast caused cracks in the house of neighbor Ajay Srivastava and the shop of Ghulam Muhammad.
Om Prakash told that 20 filled cylinders were kept. Neighbors loaded 17 LPG cylinders on the vehicle and removed it. Two double cylinders, a petromax and a big cylinder Pichka were found in the debris. The family lives in the back part of the shop. The family members came out as soon as the blast was feared. Prima facie it is being said that there was an explosion in the cylinder. Police is engaged in investigation.
Inspector-in-Charge Sanjay Dubey said that the cooking gas cylinder caught fire while cooking, which has been extinguished. Told that Mata Prasad is the owner of Balaji Gas Agency, which does the work of distribution of cylinders. Everyone is safe.
Here three people do the work of refilling: In the Chowk market itself, three people do the business of refilling LPG cylinders illegally, who work to fill gas in the smallest cylinders. The officials are not keeping an eye on this illegal business going on in the densely populated middle market. However, the police is talking about bringing cylinders for distribution.
