Lucknow. The skyrocketing inflation after the Corona epidemic has badly affected the common people. The prices of petrol, diesel and gas cylinders are increasing continuously. Meanwhile, now the prices of fertilizers used in agriculture have also increased. Even before the hike in diesel prices, farmers were worried that now they have been hit by double inflation.
Farmers troubled by rising diesel prices will now have to spend more money to buy fertilizers. There has been a big increase of Rs 150 in the prices of DAP i.e. Di ammonium Phosphate. The increased prices of fertilizers are reaching various districts of Uttar Pradesh. It is directed that the sale of DAP fertilizer should be done only at the print rate, so that the old manure can be available to the farmers at a lower price.
Indian Farmers Fertilizer Co-Operative Limited (IFFCO) has increased the prices of DAP from April 1. Farmers were getting 50 kg packet earlier for Rs 1200, now they will have to pay Rs 1350 to buy the same fertilizer packet.
Farmers use DAP fertilizer the most in the work of farming, due to the increase in the price, the cost of cultivation is also certain to increase. It is to be known that IFFCO had increased the prices of fertilizers earlier, but the government had increased the subsidy in the interest of the farmers.
Nodal officer of fertilizers Anil Kumar Pathak told that about two lakh tonnes of back stock is available across the state, instructions are to sell it for only Rs 1200, while Rs 1350 has been printed on the sacks of fertilizer reaching here, print to farmers. Fertilizer should be sold at the same rate.
Not only did the price of urea increase, but five kg of goods in the bag also decreased. Instead of 50 kg, 45 kg manure will come in urea bag. At the same time, a 45 kg bag of urea will be available for Rs 267, while the prices of NPK fertilizers vary according to the company and the ratio of the mixture.
Most of the DAP and Urea are used. Now the season of Zaid crops has started. There will be pulses crops like moong, urad, maize etc. In these, farmers will have to buy DAP at the new rate. DAP is used in Kharif crop for sowing of paddy and bajra in July.
Let us tell you that the farmers are already upset due to the increase in the price of diesel. Most of the agricultural work of the farmer is dependent on fuel. From plowing the field to harvesting and transporting the crop to the market, farmers use tractors. In such a situation, the increase in the rate of diesel has already become a big problem in front of the farmers.
