Lucknow. Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav’s reaction has come after the Bharatiya Janata Party got a clear majority on Thursday in the 2022 assembly elections of Uttar Pradesh. His party leader Swami Prasad accepted the defeat yesterday, but former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has thanked the people today.
Akhilesh Yadav made a tweet on Friday. The SP chief said that heartfelt thanks to the people of Uttar Pradesh for increasing our seats by two and a half times and vote percentage by one and a half times. We have shown that BJP seats in Uttar Pradesh can be reduced. Now this reduction of BJP will continue continuously. More than half of his confusion and delusion has been cleared, the rest will be done in a few days. The struggle for public interest will win.
The Samajwadi Party had entered the fray in alliance with smaller parties for the formation of the 18th Legislative Assembly. This time the Samajwadi Party and the alliance got 126 seats out of 403. In this, Samajwadi Party got 111 seats, Rashtriya Lok Dal eight, Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party got six and Apna Dal Kameravadi got one seat. The Samajwadi Party has got two crore, 95 lakh, 27,999 votes in the elections this time i.e. 32.05 percent of the total voting.

Earlier yesterday, before the counting of votes, Akhilesh Yadav had said that the test is yet to come, now the time for courage has come, now for ‘decisions’. Heartfelt thanks to each and every worker, supporter, leader, office bearer and well wisher of SP-gathbandhan for being alert and consciously active day and night at the counting centers. The soldiers of democracy should return only with a certificate of victory.
