Lucknow. Yogi Adityanath, the first Chief Minister of the Bharatiya Janata Party to complete a five-year term in Uttar Pradesh, will tender his resignation before the formation of the 18th Assembly. After getting a thumping majority in Uttar Pradesh for the second time in a row, the Bharatiya Janata Party is now preparing to form the government. The tenure of the Yogi Adityanath government is till March 15.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will first resign from his post. Officials of Raj Bhavan have also reached his official residence along with many officials of the government. It is believed that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will resign his post earlier today. After this, the caretaker government will work in the state. For the time being, he will remain at his official residence on Friday. Meanwhile, Apna Dal (Sonelal) chief Anupriya Patel reached the Chief Minister’s official residence and met CM Yogi Adityanath. 12 MLAs of his party have won.
There is also a program of CM Yogi Adityanath to go to New Delhi with the leaders of the Uttar Pradesh BJP organization. Where there will be a meeting with the top leadership of BJP. In this meeting, along with the formation of the Uttar Pradesh government, the cabinet will also be discussed. BJP Legislature Party meeting will be held in Lucknow after Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath returns from New Delhi. The leader of the legislature party will be elected in this meeting. This leader will take oath as the chief minister. Along with the Chief Minister, other ministers will also take oath. After this, the new government will start work in Uttar Pradesh.
After the results of the 2022 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party has become the largest party with a thumping majority. The BJP has emerged as the first party in the last several years to return to power in Uttar Pradesh for the second time in a row. Since the 80s in the state, it was not possible for many decades that any party should return to power in UP for two consecutive terms.
