Lucknow. There will be a public holiday in the district on the day of polling. Special guide lines have been issued by the District Election Office on the day of polling. Everything will remain closed till the polls except emergency services. However, there will be no restriction on public transport. City buses will operate on all its 24 routes as per the requirement of the passengers. Not only this, e-rickshaw, auto and tempo will also be operated.
According to City Transport, ebuses will operate from Dubagga and CNG city buses will operate from Gomtinagar depot. However, there will be less operation than other days. At the same time, roadways buses will also operate from the fixed timetable. RM told that long distance buses including Delhi, Jaipur, Dehradun will run from Lucknow. At the same time, on the day of polling, night bus services will go from the bus stations to the destination at their scheduled time. UPMRC MD Kumar Keshav said that metro service will be available from 6 am to 10 pm.
All government, semi-government, private offices will remain closed.
Shops, establishments and private institutions will remain closed.
Emergency services will be restored. Emergency services will also be restored in medical stores and nursing homes.
LPG and PNG supply will continue.

Grocery stores, liquor shops and other essential goods shops can be opened after 6 pm.
