New Delhi. Former Indian cricket team batsman Sachin Tendulkar has given the Indian batsmen the mantra to be successful in the condition of South Africa. Tendulkar said front foot defense would be the most important factor for Indian batsmen in the South African situation and praised both the batsmen for the performances of KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma in the tour of England earlier this year. Sachin said that I have always said that front foot defense is the most important thing in South Africa and it is going to be an important factor on this tour as well. Indian batsmen need to follow this formula in the first 25 overs.
While talking to Beria Mazumdar, Sachin Tendulkar said that we saw on the tour of England that the front foot defense of KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma was solid and because of this they were successful in scoring runs. Giving the example of Rohit and Rahul’s performance during the England tour, Sachin explained the importance of keeping his hands close to his body. He said that his hands were not moving away from the body. When your hands start moving away from your body, then you slowly but surely start to lose control and the specialty of both those batsmen was that their hands were not going away.
The 48-year-old Sachin said that he was beaten many times and it happens to every batsman. The bowler comes out on the field to take wickets and it is bound to happen, but when your hand starts moving away from your body, there is a possibility of getting an edge and the batsman is out. He advised the Indian batsmen not to do so. Let us tell you that the three-match Test series between India and South Africa will start from December 26, while the second and third Test matches will be played from January 3 and January 11.
