Balrampur. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Saryu Canal National Project, which was pending for the last forty years, in Balrampur on Saturday. As soon as PM Modi pressed the button of the remote to inaugurate the Saryu Canal National Project at Hansuvadol village on Bahraich road in Balrampur, water started flowing in all the clogged canals.
After this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the public meeting. During this, he also kept the priority of his and the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh in front of everyone. The faces of the farmers of Gonda, Bahraich, Shravasti, Basti, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Basti, Gorakhpur, Maharajganj and Sant Kabir Nagar shone as soon as the Prime Minister inaugurated the Saryu Canal National Project.
During this, the Prime Minister took a jibe at the Samajwadi Party. He said that while the priority of some people is to cut the tape, our priority is to complete the projects on time. He said that when I left Delhi today, I was waiting since morning that when someone will come and say that Modi ji, I had cut the tape of this scheme. Some people have a habit of saying that they may have cut the ribbon of this scheme in their childhood.
The Prime Minister said that we inaugurated the Ban Sagar project in Mirzapur. Along with this, Arjun Sahayak Canal Project was inaugurated. Inauguration of AIIMS along with inauguration of Gorakhpur Fertilizer Factory, Kushinagar International Airport inaugurated. Not all of these useful projects have progressed since the lace was cut. He said that when we came to the government, 99 irrigation projects were lying incomplete in the country. There was also the Saryu canal project in it. We have done more work in this within five years than what was done in five decades
He said that work on this scheme started about 50 years ago and today its work has been completed. He said that this is the speed of work of double engine government. When the work on this project started, its cost was less than one hundred crores. Today it has been completed after spending about 10,000 crores. The country has already paid 100 times more for the negligence of the governments.
The Prime Minister said that there was a time before 2017 also. When sugarcane farmers in the state used to wait for many years to get their dues. How many sugar mills were locked during that time? Now the time has changed. The Yogi Adityanath government of the state made record payments to sugarcane farmers. Along with this, all the sugar mills that were closed in the state have been started. Those who were in the government earlier in the state used to give protection to the mafia, today the Yogi Adityanath government of the state is engaged in cleaning the mafia. In the earlier governments, land was occupied, there was hooliganism, it was difficult for sisters and daughters to leave the house. Daughters used to stay at home. Today, under Yogi ji’s government, criminals are hiding in their homes, bulldozers are running on the mafia, that’s why people say that the difference is clear. Those who were in the government earlier used to increase the Bahubalis. Today Yogi ji’s government is taking forward the Dalits, backwards and tribals, that’s why the people of UP say that the difference is clear.
The Prime Minister said that doctors are working hard to save the life of Group Captain Varun Singh, a resident of Deoria, a son of Uttar Pradesh, in a helicopter accident in Tamil Nadu. I pray to Maa Pateshwari to save her life. The nation is with the family of Varun Singh ji today, with the families of the heroes we have lost. Today, I am paying tribute to the brave warriors of the country who died in a helicopter on 8th December. The passing of India’s first Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat is a great loss for every Indian, every patriot. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the country has been a witness to the hard work that General Bipin Rawat was doing to make the forces self-reliant. Bipin Rawat will see his India moving forward with new resolutions in the coming days. India is in misery but even after suffering the pain, we neither stop our pace nor progress.
