Moradabad. A hearing was held in the MP-MLA court on Monday in the case of indecent remarks on film actress and Rampur MP Jaya Prada. The advocate of the accused party had sought time from the court for the third time in this matter, citing the appeal filed in the Supreme Court. But rejecting his argument, the court took action to frame the charge against the five accused, including Azam-Abdullah. During this, along with the accused MP Azam Khan from Sitapur Jail, his son Abdullah Azam was produced through video conferencing. While Moradabad MP Dr. ST Hasan, Organizer Ariz Hasan as well as former SP District President Firoz Khan of Sambhal were present in the court. The court has fixed November 30 for the next hearing in the matter.
Government advocate Munish Bhatnagar told that in the Lok Sabha elections in the year 2019, SP leader Azam Khan had won from Rampur seat. After this victory, a welcome public meeting was organized in Moradabad’s Katghar to welcome him. In this public meeting, SP leaders made indecent remarks against film actress and former MP Jaya Prada. In this case, a case was registered against Azam Khan, Abdullah Azam, Dr. ST Hasan, Sambhal’s former SP District President Faroz Khan, Rampur Municipality’s former chairman Azhar Khan and organizer Ariz Hasan in this case.

During this, the advocate of the accused party, Virendra Kumar Sharma, referring to the appeal filed in the Supreme Court, said that this matter is related to the Magistrate Court. An appeal has been filed in the Supreme Court in this matter, which is to be heard on November 24. The court was requested to give time till the disposal of the appeal in the Supreme Court. Although the court had earlier given time to the advocate of the accused party thrice in this case.
