Lucknow. The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh is going to give the gift of free travel to the sisters in Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation buses on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. This facility will be available in all class buses of the corporation from 12 midnight of 21st August to 12 midnight of 22nd August. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Transport Department has started issuing its orders.
This time on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has linked free bus service with Mission Shakti. The third phase of Mission Shakti is starting from August 21, a day before Raksha Bandhan. On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, the holy festival of mutual affection between brother and sister, the government has provided free transport facility to all the sisters of the state in transport corporation buses. Last year also, about 3.5 lakh sisters had taken advantage of this facility.
In Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government is very conscious about the respect and self-respect of women, this time on Rakshabandhan, sisters will be given free travel in roadways bus along with something else. The government is preparing to give many gifts to women and daughters by starting the third phase of Mission Shakti on August 21, a day before Raksha Bandhan. During this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will give the gift of posting to the women policemen as beat police officers. There will also be a gift of kindergarten in all the districts for the little ones of women policemen.
The main function organized at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow, 1.5 lakh daughters deprived of Kanya Sumangala Yojana and 1.73 lakh new beneficiary women eligible for Nishrit Mahila Pension Yojana will be linked to the scheme. Preparations are also being made to give gifts like construction of pink toilets in about 1300 police stations, recruitment of women policemen on vacant posts. Under Mission Shakti, five thousand rupees will be given to the meritorious girl students who come first 10 places in the districts in class 10th and 12th. Along with this, the state board is preparing to give 20 thousand rupees to the top girl students who are topping in the district in class 12th and studying further.
