Continuous efforts are being made to curb the accidents on Yamuna Expressway. Now the speed of vehicles will be monitored by installing time booths on Yamuna Expressway. If you cross the expressway less than the stipulated time, you will be challaned. At present, most of the challans are based on the speed limit between the toll tax.
The Yamuna Authority is now preparing to set up time booths at the zero point on both sides of the expressway (Greater Noida and Agra). After installing the time booth, it will be known which vehicle has boarded the expressway when. Invoice will be made on the basis of that.
Speed stopping exercise: Under the new system, if you cross the 165 km long expressway in less than the stipulated time, you will be challaned. Once the time booth is set up, it will be implemented effectively. If people travel within the prescribed limit, then the accidents will also be less.
Crash Beam Barriers: Crash beam barriers are being installed on both sides of Yamuna Expressway divider. The company of Gujarat is doing this work very fast. Due to the barrier, the vehicle will not go into the other lane after the accident. This will reduce the magnitude of the accident. More people are injured in those road accidents who go to the other lane after colliding with the vehicle.
Vehicles damaged in accidents will be put on the side
Many more steps will be taken to make people aware on Yamuna Expressway. Vehicles that are involved in an accident on the expressway will be placed on the side of the expressway (like a statue) so that people can see them and think how dangerous speed is for life.
That’s how the fine is now
Light vehicles can travel at a speed of 100 km per hour on the Yamuna Expressway. Due to the good road, people fill up here. Yamuna Expressway Management challans vehicles based on the distance between two tolls. That is, if you cover that distance at a higher speed than the fixed speed, then your challan will be deducted. This invoicing is done online.
