Dehradun: Agriculture Minister Subodh Uniyal has directed to market the organic agricultural products of Uttarakhand to make them available. He said that for this, outlets of specific agricultural organic produce should be constructed soon at major places.
On Thursday, Agriculture Minister Subodh Uniyal held a departmental review meeting regarding organic agricultural produce of Uttarakhand. He said that in the first phase, 344 outlets and 20 exclusive outlets will be opened at airports, railway stations, bus stations and major places. Selected for exclusive outlets of Guptkashi, Gangotri, Muniki Reti, Joshimath, Devprayag, Jollygrant, Kotdwar, Ranikhet, Haridwar, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Chinyalisaur, Chittai Golu Devta Temple, Haldwani, Nainital, Dehradun, Mussoorie, Srinagar, Narendranagar and Pantnagar. has gone. The budget spent on the outlet will be arranged from the budget of traditional agriculture development scheme and Namami Gange scheme. He said that an exhibition will be organized for marketing, packaging, branding of organic produce of Uttarakhand. Its purpose is to provide a fair price to the farmers and to end the system of middlemen. The Public Works Department in the hilly areas and the Mandi Parishad in the plains have been given the responsibility for the construction of the outlet. For this, the District Collectors of the concerned districts have been asked to inspect the outlet construction site.
Its objective is to use about them as brand ambassadors by informing about seven crore tourists coming to Uttarakhand about the specialty of the product.
